About me

Attorney Roberta Caruso, combines a civil professional experience of about sixteen years with canonical experience.

After graduating with a master's degree in law with a dissertation in Canon Law on Simulation of Consent in Canon Marriage, she qualified as a civil lawyer.
Meanwhile, she also obtained a licentiate in canon law from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, with a thesis on responsibility in the administration of ecclesiastical property, later the subject of her doctoral thesis at the same Pontifical University.
She subsequently qualified as a lawyer of the Tribunal of the Roman Rota by passing the relevant examination.

She is currently a cassazionista lawyer, a Rotal lawyer, a licensed attorney at the Tribunal of First Instance of the Vatican City State, as well as an external judge at the Cagliari Ecclesiastical Court of Appeal.

Although Roberta Caruso's professional competence in civil law is comprehensive, she currently deals mostly with family law (legal separation, dissolution and termination of the civil effects of the concordat marriage, modification of conditions, custody and maintenance of children, deliberations) and canon law, having advocated about a hundred cases of declaration of matrimonial nullity as well as canonical criminal and administrative law matters.
